Pint AI Product Updates: Week 3

Ad copy formats and hooks—here's how you can identify them

Hey there!

We're back with another round of updates for you; the last week was mainly focused on collecting the several aspects of an ad that we want to be able to analyze.

Let's jump in.

Breaking Down Different Aspects of an Ad

Last week, we looked at two primary things:

  • Ad copy formats

After some extensive research, we collated the most popular ad copy formats used in digital ads. This includes formats like AIDA, FAB, PAS, 4C's and about 15 more. You can check out the complete list here.

  • Hook formats

We also studied several of the most popular hooks for ads. We collated them across the different groups like price-focused, informative, competitive, user experience, hype-based and several others. In total, we put together over 120 hooks. You can find the complete list here.

What are we doing with all this?

By collecting different kinds of ad copy formats, hooks, content themes, and the rest of the elements, we'll be able to create a pre-set list of tags for you. This will allow you to gauge the conversions and impact of your creative concepts and ideas in depth.

Let's take an example. You will be able to ask basic and thorough questions, like:

Basic: For your bottom-funnel Ugly ads, which hook is giving you a better first 3-second view rate—"Before you try [product type], watch this" or "Hate [the worse alternative]? Try this!"

In-depth: During Christmas, for your bottom-funnel ugly ads, which combinations of hooks and ad copies are giving you a ROAS of 4x?

As we develop further, the goal will be for our AI to automatically identify the characteristics of an ad and tag them respectively.

Once we add in multi-platform functionalities, you'll be able to check the efficacy of these characteristics across channels, and find out what's working, how well it's working, and what you can change.

We have also begun building a very, very basic MVP — the aim of this is to test for scalability and performance, not design.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be writing in to ask for some of your time; we would love your input to build a simple, effective navigation system for the tool so that you can get to your goal faster.

And that's it for this week's updates! As always, for any questions, doubts or advice, please feel free to reply to this email.

Have a great week ahead!
